About the Association
Making it easy to tell a professional property consultant from someone with just a phone and a visiting card.
The Property Consultants Association of India exists for one reason: to make it easy for a buyer, seller or tenant to tell a professional property consultant from someone who simply has a phone and a visiting card.
Property is the largest transaction most families in India will ever make. It is also one of the least regulated experiences they will ever go through. The Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act changed a great deal for developers and projects. For agents, the picture is still uneven — registration is required, but very few buyers know how to check it, and fewer still know what it means.
We maintain a public directory of property consultants who have registered with their state RERA authority and who have agreed to a standard of conduct in dealing with clients. Membership is checked before a listing is published, and a listing can be withdrawn.
What we do
Maintain a public register. Any member of the public can search our directory by state, city or the kind of property they are dealing with, and see a consultant’s RERA registration number alongside their contact details.
Verify before we publish. A registration is checked against the relevant state authority’s records before a consultant appears here. The verified mark on a listing means someone looked.
Support the profession. Guidance on RERA registration and renewal, on record keeping, and on the obligations a consultant carries towards a client.
Give buyers somewhere to start. Most people looking for an agent ask a relative. We think they should also be able to look one up.
Who we are

We are a membership body, not a brokerage. We do not sell property, take commission on any transaction, or recommend one member over another.
